'C' Division

1. The Air Hanger “C” Div is responsible for following long- and short-term services courses as per the training calendar year 2024-25. The details of the courses are appended below: –

(a) Defence Services Technical Staff Course {DSTSC}. This Staff course of Forty-Six weeks duration is conducted for Indian Armed Forces and Sri Lankan officers from Jun to Apr in ARJAN class room (C Div). The strength of the course is 42 student officers comprising Army 26 Navy 05, Air Force 08 and SL-03.

(b) Aircraft Weapon Delivery and Ejection System Course (AWDESC). This course of five weeks duration is conducted to orient officers with importance and nuances of Aircraft Weapon Delivery and Ejection System to enhance effectiveness. Course duration from Sep to Oct.

(c) Marine propulsion control technology course (MPCTC). This course is of Ten weeks duration and is conducted twice in every year; Jul to Sep & Dec to Mar.

The faculty has two classrooms to conduct the various courses.

(a) Main class room namely Arjan

(b) Second class room is known as Computer Training Lab (CTL) available in Air Hangar is being utilized for short courses conducted at C Div along with computer-based courses and for capsule courses on AI.

1. Air Hangar. Faculty of Air Force is equipped with a hangar housing vintage aircraft, training aids, ejection seat bay, gun bay, along with a Arjan classroom and a CTL lab. Renovation of classroom and offices, mounting of frames for display purpose in front of air hangar etc has been recently completed.

2. Artificial Intelligence Lab. Artificial Intelligence Lab was set up since 27 Aug 2020 yrs following software/ hardware are installed in the AI Lab.

(a) 2 FA (Two Factor authentication-based Access control system)

(b) Visual based Object detection

(c) Programmable Autonomous Car Kit Powered by Jetson Nano

The lab has been set up to provide hands-on experience to the student officers of various courses to provide practical experience & System programming.

3. Communication Lab. A communication lab has been set up since 15 Mar 2022 to impart trg and undertaking basic projects in field. The laboratory house Line Coder & Decoder, PPM/PWM/PAM Modulator and Demodulator, SSB-SC Modulator and Demodulator, ASK, FSK, BPSK, DPSK, QPSK, Modulator and Demodulator, Anolog communication training kits, which includes Modulator and Demodulator including 5 MHz Function Generator, oscilloscope and Training SDR modules.

4. Training Aids. The following training aids are available at the Air Hanger.

(a) Airframes. MiG- 21, Marut & SU-7 aircraft and a scaled model of LCA.

(b) SAM Missiles. ‘Dvina’ SAM-II, ‘Pechora’ SAM-III, Brahmos and Akash Missiles.

(c) Air Armament. Sensor Fuzed weapons, LGB Kit for Jaguar and Mirage, R-27R1, RVV-AE, SFW, X-29, Sea Eagle, Rocket Pods, CBLS, Cluster Bomb and Cut-section scale models of various bombs.

(d) Ejection Seat Bay. Martin Baker S4C (Marut ac), martin Baker MK-34 (Hunter ac), Martin Baker F 10 QA (Trg Model Mirage ac), Ejection seat CK (MiG21 type 77 ac), Ejection seat KC-4 (SU-7 ac) & K-1 M of MiG-27.

(e) Gun Bay. Various Single/Multi Barrel Guns air –air and air-ground aircraft guns are available.

(f) Laminar Flow Table. The Laminar Flow table has been procured to display the concepts of laminar and turbulent flows during conduct of aerodynamics subjects.

(g) History and Operation undertake by Air Force. OP Rahat in Uttarakhand flood relief, Air Op in Kargil in May 1999 and other histories and operations are displayed.
