CAMPUS WIDE NETWORK (CWN)
Leveraging the process of IT and networked learning environment to impartmore comprehensive training, the exclusive network of Military Institute of Technology (MILIT)has been extended to the residential complex of staff/instructorsand student officers. 300 x Thin clients have been installed, approx 16 Km of OFC has been laid and multiple layers of L1 switches have been installed at the residential complex to provide access of CWN to students and staff of MILIT. Through CWN, major network services can be accessed including MILIT website, helpdesk, repository of course contentetc in a networked environment. IT serves dual purpose, automating the process of assignment submission and evaluation as well as giveaccess to computer aided learning to student officers at their residences wherein all the study material hosted on array of servers would be available all the time. The CWN facilitates communication, data sharing, website access etc amongst students and instructors across the entire campus ensuring seamless connectivity.
GYANALAYA
Military Institute of Technology (MILIT) is a tri-services premier training institute which conducts varioustechnical courses for officers of Army, Navy and Airforce,is mandated to use innovative training methodologies. Gyanalaya is a Learning management system (LMS) customized to MILIT requirements. All major courses with respective content (subjects wise) have been hosted on the Gyanalaya which can be accessed by all the instructors and student officers from offices, classrooms and residential complex over CWN. The primary objective of developing Gyanalaya is to create a seamless, integrated digital environment to facilitate the conduct of courses in more efficient manner. Student and faculty can access course material from anywhere in the MILIT campus enhancing flexibility and convenience. Online examination& automatic scoring and online assignment submission & evaluation are few of the features of Gyanalaya which make the learning more effective. (Screenshot is att as Appx)
OFFLINE QUESTION PAPER GENERATOR(OQPG)
Military Institute of Technology has indigenously developed a software named OQPG which generates question papers from the database available in-house. It is a user-friendly and reliable software that can operate without an internet connection. It requires a comprehensive database of questions categorized by subject, difficulty level and topics.It allowsthe exam conducting team to create balanced and diverse examination papers for the students. Since the application operates without an internet connection, it provides a controlled environment that safeguards sensitive exam content. Additionally, the generator saves times for instructors by automating the process of question selection and paper formatting, allowing them to focus more on teaching and student engagement. The ability to generate customized and diverse question papers also improves the quality of assessments catering to different learning objectives and student needs.
